My favourite branch of study is the novel. My favourite author is a novelist. He is an old novelist Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyaya. Bibhutibhusan’s celebrity lies in his four great novels Pather Panchali, Aparajita (in two parts), and Aranyak. All of them seem to have been written with the deep feeling of his heart. His writing bears no mark of artificiality. There is no want of sincerity in his novels. 

They give out the truth about their author’s life and mind. Whenever I read him, I am lost in his picture and interest in a simple life. I cannot but turn to his books again and again.
