Sir,
Through the columns of your widely circulated daily, I would like to draw the attention of the authority concerned to the following problem.
Recently there has been a hike in the prices of kerosene and L.P.G. (Cooking gas). This is affecting all classes of people. The poor people of the villages cannot buy kerosene oil and have to live in complete darkness at night in many areas. Moreover, shallow pumps essential for agriculture cannot be operated properly. Many middle class people find it difficult to buy the cylinders of cooking gas. In a word, the rise in the prices is creating a crisis for the poor and middle-class people.
I hope that the Government will immediately reconsider the matter.
