BOOK LAUNCH AT MUKTANGAN 

‘The Fall of the Leaves,’ a collection of short stories by B.B. Biswas, was launched amid a select gathering at Muktangan yesterday, the 24th of November. The grandson of a freedom fighter, Mr. Biswas grew up hearing the stories of how the common folk fought against British imperialism in their own small way. His grandfather passed away a few years earlier but the stories echoed in his mind.

 Finally, Mr. Biswas put pen to paper and we got ‘The Fall of the Leaves’. This is Mr. Biswas’ maiden attempt at writing and he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his publisher, Penguin India and to Mr. P. C. Das, the President of The Rotary Club, Kolkata, for organising the book launch. Hearing a few excerpts fom the stories brought tears to his audience. We wish him grand success with the book.
