On January 26, Balagar High School celebrated the Republic Day of India with great pride and enthusiasm.
The programme started at 8:00 a.m. with the Indian national flag hoisted by our headmaster, followed by the national anthem. The theme of Republic Day this year was ‘Viksit Bharat‘ which means develop India, and India is the mother of democracy.
Students and teachers pay tribute to our beloved freedom fighters by showering flowers on their portraits. Our headmaster delivered a speech, signifying the importance of this day and the sacrifice of our freedom fighters.
Later on, a cultural programme begins in the auditorium. A debate competition was arranged on the topic of Indian history. Later, drama was also performed by students on farmers in British-ruled India.
Our school also arranged a cleanliness campaign where students participated in cleaning the school premises. The programme ends with the distribution of sweets among students.
Overall, Republic Day at Balagar Memorial School was a great success that was made possible because of the cumulative efforts of all students and teachers.
