UNCLEANLINESS AT ZOO

Sir,
Through your popular daily, I would like to air my grievance over the uncleanly habit of our fellow people and the negligence of authorities to maintain public places and heritage sites.
Recently, after nearly a decade I paid a visit to the Calcutta Zoological Garden, one of the well-known zoos in the country. But what I witnessed there, shocked and distressed me. The sprawling lawn of the once beautiful zoo has been littered with throw-away plastic packets of different sizes, cups, and many other leftovers. It is quite uncivil on the part of the visitor to litter such beautiful places with thrown-away food packets and other refuse. The authority is also responsible because it takes no measures in removing these or providing bins in the right places. If we keep on making our city unclean and messy in this way we will soon make our city a decaying and dead one.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully,
Ramkrishna Ghosh
