Hobby means leisure activities which one pursues for pleasure. Collecting stamp and philately is my hobby. I started collecting stamps when I was in class six I have developed this habit from my cousin who is also an avid collector of stamps. I like it because stamps are like mirrors of history and tell a lot about great men, events and happening all over the world. I collect stamps mainly from personal sources though occasionally I also buy stamps .
At present I have five albums full of stamps. My parents encourages me to collect stamps and help me to find some new source . Stamp-collection has helped me to develop some ideas about the different countries of the world and also about great men all over the world. I believe no text-books on history or geography would have been able to give such familiarity.
